Where do I start about Wally? He loves the camera. Wally walked over to me and started posing as I snapped shot after shot of his cute little head.

He came to Project HALO covered in matted fur and they shaved him down to make him comfortable. Less fur does not mean less personality; this little guy is full of spunk and love.

My favorite part about Wally is not just his ability to cuddle at any time, but his little legs. I love how he stands like a dancer in perfect form.

Wally would make a great addition to any home. He’s such a charmer!

Nugget doesn’t care for the paparazzi like most HALO pups. As soon as the camera came out Nugget gave me the cold shoulder.

But I didn’t mind waiting around for her to warm up to me. And once she did, it was all smiles.

Nugget is a black lab mix who is being currently fostered by some really awesome folks. It doesn’t take long to fall in love with her.

Maybe it’s because I had a malti-poo for a brief time in my childhood, or maybe it’s because she’s so sweet, but Princess really tugged on my heart at the adoption event. She’s very calm and quiet, but very playful once she is around the other dogs, regardless if they are big or even small. She is almost a year old, but reminds me of an old-soul.

You might think you are seeing doubles on the blog, but Roxy is still searching for a home. She is a very sweet dog with awesome wrinkles on her head. I could see her in a home that enjoys long walks or a huge backyard. So, who needs a running partner?

Instead of tons of pictures in one post, I decided to feature each HALO dog on their own post. All pictures were taken at the adoption event at Birkdale Village in Huntersville, NC. The events are held monthly on the third Saturday of the month.

We’ll start with Fluffy.

Fluffy lives up to his name. He is super cute and so soft to pet. He loves sitting in laps and getting loved on.

{Dogs} Boston Terrier

July 24, 2009

While photographing for Project HALO last weekend, people shopping at Birkdale Village stopped by to visit the adoption area. Some had shopping bags while some came with dog in tow. Here’s a little Boston Terrier that came by to say hello. I think secretly, he was looking for a new fuzzy pal to call brother or sister.

Notice how this little guy pulled his ears back in the second picture. For some reason this breed always reminds me of frogs; must be those killer eyes. Both of these photos were updated with TRA actions. They have a recipe website as well for mixing and matching to give photos a new look. If you have the chance to use these actions, you won’t be disappointed.

Here’s a little sneak peek of this past weekend from the Project HALO event. Meet Punky - a beagle mix with a heart of gold and the sweetest personality. More to come soon of Punky and the rest of the adorable dogs up for adoption.

A few weeks ago, Project HALO held an adoption event at Birkdale Village. There were lots of wonderful adoptable dogs and even some super sweet puppies. Here are a few featured at the event. If you missed this last event, not to worry! Project HALO will be back at Birkdale Village in Huntersville, NC this Saturday at 11:30 AM. Please come out and see all the fuzzy faces and maybe even take one home. Hope to see you there!

Meet Barie and Adie – the rock star and the princess. Barie loves to sing, while her sister Adie, makes for a very smart and beautiful princess; Disney should really think about picking up this duo. Never a dull moment around these gals. Hope you girls have a wonderful summer!

Have you ever spent the day with two children under the age of two? Anything and everything is amazing to these beautiful kids from the Hoffman family, plus they never stopped moving. I had such a great time seeing both of their personalities come out during this shoot.

How do you say no to this face?

Last but not least, is super mom. Not only is Iesha the mother of these two awesome kids, but she works full-time during the day and an actor in the evening with Shakespeare Carolina. She’s the lead in the upcoming play starting today of Antony and Cleopatra. So yes, you could say she has her hands full. She will be the first to admit that her husband Tad, will swoop in from time to time to save the day as well.

Did I mention she’s absolutely stunning? Can’t wait to see her on stage – break a leg!
