December was a busy month. Not only was it full of holiday activities with family, but also hectic with shoots for Project Halo and an assignment for Our State Magazine.

I traveled up to Mt. Airy, NC to view a Boy Scout Camp call Camp Raven Knob. While there, I had the chance to have a special tour by the camp director himself. If you look closely, you’ll see some snow in the background. It was everywhere and made walking around the camp a little more of an adventure. I can’t say I’m an outdoor kind of girl, but as soon as I heard they had heated water in the showers, I thought about spending a weekend at the camp for a split second before changing my mind again. I just love my warm bed, tons of blankets and soft pillows way too much.

Here’s the article. You can also check online to see a slide show of past years at that camp and another picture I snapped of the signage as you drive in the main entrance.Slide1Slide2

Special thanks to the staff at Our State Magazine, especially Deanne O’Connor, Katherine Dayton and Chip Womick.

From the pre-shoot survey, I could tell that this was going to be a super fun shoot. And from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left, two pugs proved me right. Meet Sylvie Grace and Atticus Finch.

to their funny little faces…

Pugs are always fun to photograph. And don’t get me started on their owners. Look at this super cute little family.

And these pugs love the camera.

This is three year old Sylvie Grace. She’s the first pug that joined the family.

Loves people, really smart and a total princess.

And here’s four year old Atticus Finch. He joined the family from a pug rescue group.

He loves eating, playing with his rope toy and snores like it’s his business.

And the two together equal never a dull moment around this house. They get along like peas and carrots.

They love going on walks together.

They even have a piece of art that matches them. It’s made out of legos by Meagan’s husband Eric. How cool…right?

I had a blast hanging out, getting kisses and laughing at all the snorts.

Sometimes wrinkles are cute. And on a Monday after a weekend of fun, who doesn’t love these wrinkles?

We recently had a housewarming and Laker, our Boxer, was the hit of the party. He ate ice from the bucket with beers and wine, he sang everyone a song that walked through our door and at the end of the night, he crashed on the couch. Some say wrinkles come from worry, but not for this dog; his come from cuteness.
