Do you ever meet people and you just click with them? It’s that instant “ah ha” moment when you realize you have lots in common? I met Devon at a volunteer event and thought she was one cool chick. Later on that afternoon, Devon’s boyfriend Billy at the time stopped by. You could see they just clicked. They had a routine about themselves and you could tell it was their own secret language. I got an email at the beginning of 2010 from Devon saying that Billy had proposed and I could not be more excited for the couple. Not only did I adore them together, they also had an amazing dog named Bailey who stole the show anytime the camera was up. Together, they make a really fun family and an even more fun engagement shoot. I can’t wait until this wedding in August where I promised Devon that this horrible heat wave we are having will be gone. Let’s hope I can pull through.

{engagement} A+E totally in love | Freedom Park Charlotte NC
April 23, 2010Some couple are so at ease around each other. He compliments her when she thinks her hair is out of place by saying she is beautiful. She sneaks a kiss in while walking around the lake and takes his hand into hers. My mother-in-law refers to these sort of couples as love birds. These little love birds are so in love that I don’t think they even noticed I was behind the camera for their session at Freedom Park.

See! I told you they are so cute and totally in love. Congrats on your engagement and good luck with wedding planning.

April 20, 2010They speak their own language and don’t really seem to noticed others around all because they are in love. Here’s a sneak from their engagement session.

{engagement} Amber and David | Uptown Charlotte, NC
January 11, 2010Amber reached out asking if I could shoot some engagement pictures for her and David. It would be exactly one year since the past Christmas that David had proposed to her in Uptown Charlotte and they never got proper pictures to remember that day. The holiday season time of the year is really near and dear to my heart, because that is the time of the year three years ago that my husband proposed to me. How could I could not say anything but yes to this shoot request?

Aren’t they so cute together?

This couple is just stunning. There were a couple of moments I gushed over the view finder on my camera when I saw the beautiful images appear.

And David, he is such a nice guy and just as easy on the eyes!

Amber is a great listener and brings a smile to your face if you have a bad day. She’s full of energy; it’s like it bounces off of her and onto anyone within ten feet of her.

Together this couple makes anyone feel right at home. I can’t even begin to tell you how easy they made my job to take their picture – I mean look at them!

Even when I asked them to do their best impression of a Hollywood couple, they just smiled and pulled it off without a flaw.

And the sunset was the perfect time of day to get some really pretty moments.

Thanks guys for a fun afternoon. Good luck on your big day this summer and wishing you lots of wonderful days to come.
{Engagement} Charlie and Laura Beth | Charlotte, NC
October 12, 2009On a rainy Saturday, I headed uptown to meet with Charlie and Laura Beth. LB found my blog through a friend and she asked if I would like to photograph her wedding in November. I jumped at the chance and invited my friend Kelli Boling of Red K Photography to join me as a second shooter. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to share in LB and Charlie’s big day right around the corner. This couple is so cute together.

LB and Charlie really compliment each other. You can just see how much in love these two are — it just shows.

Good luck with all your wedding planning and see you very soon.

October 10, 2009Rain never stops a good time when you have a great attitude. That is the least I could say about this couple. Once you get them laughing, they don’t stop, which made for a fun Saturday morning. Here’s a peek from the session…more later this week from their engagement session. Can’t wait to photograph their big day in November.
