Project HALO

April 21, 2009

Last year, a friend told me about Project HALO. They needed help with animals rescued from a neglectful owner. This really sang to my heart since we have two dogs at home, one of which is a rescue. I really loved being able to help out by providing clean bedding, food and some snuggles. This past weekend, Project HALO had an adoption event at Birkdale Village in Huntersville, NC. All the dogs were super friendly and loved the attention from the humans and the camera. Here are a few dogs up for adoption.

The next adoption event is this week, April 23, 2009 at the Wachovia Atrium in uptown Charlotte from 11:30am-1:30pm.
A special thanks to April Ziegler and for all the work she does with the PSPCA and her inspiration to give back to our four-legged friends through photography.

Project HALO is a non-profit, NO-KILL rescue organization based in Charlotte, N.C. They are a 100% volunteer organization and are privately funded. Without volunteers and private donations they would not exist. They rescue homeless, stray and unwanted dogs. They take care of all the vet work including shots, sterilization and heartworm treatment, when necessary. All of Project HALO’s animals are vet current and sterilized prior to adoption.
