Everyone flocks towards Punky. She is cute, she is little and she is FULL of energy. She lives up to being a puppy in every way possible. She is a beagle mix and you might remember seeing her head as a sneak peek a while back. Here are some more pictures of her from the adoption event.

Her little mouth is so a-dor-able!

I swear she is smiling in the one above – she is such a happy dog.

Just try and say no to that face – I double dog dare you.

There was lots of good news this week and I can’t seem to blog fast enough about all of it. Project HALO has adopted off dogs left and right. I can’t even begin to say how much that warms my heart, actually my soul. So please keep coming to events if you have room in your homes for a new furry friend or even volunteer your time. I promise that there is nothing like the feeling of giving back to helpless animals.

There is a Project HALO event today if you can join.

Time: 11:30am – 1:30pm, Location: Wachovia Atrium Street: 301 South Tryon Street, City/Town: Charlotte, NC

Here’s a pic of some of the wonderful volunteers with Project HALO from the last adoption event. Laura and her hubs not only volunteer their time at events, but they were also the foster parents for Nugget. Notice I said were the foster parents – Nugget is headed to a new home for a overnight trial – so cross those paws that it is a forever home for this great pup. Thanks to everyone at Project HALO for everything you do and your wonderful volunteers.

p.s. Special thanks goes out to Laura’s husband who makes Fluffy look so manly! :)

Where do I start about Wally? He loves the camera. Wally walked over to me and started posing as I snapped shot after shot of his cute little head.

He came to Project HALO covered in matted fur and they shaved him down to make him comfortable. Less fur does not mean less personality; this little guy is full of spunk and love.

My favorite part about Wally is not just his ability to cuddle at any time, but his little legs. I love how he stands like a dancer in perfect form.

Wally would make a great addition to any home. He’s such a charmer!

Nugget doesn’t care for the paparazzi like most HALO pups. As soon as the camera came out Nugget gave me the cold shoulder.

But I didn’t mind waiting around for her to warm up to me. And once she did, it was all smiles.

Nugget is a black lab mix who is being currently fostered by some really awesome folks. It doesn’t take long to fall in love with her.

You might think you are seeing doubles on the blog, but Roxy is still searching for a home. She is a very sweet dog with awesome wrinkles on her head. I could see her in a home that enjoys long walks or a huge backyard. So, who needs a running partner?

Instead of tons of pictures in one post, I decided to feature each HALO dog on their own post. All pictures were taken at the adoption event at Birkdale Village in Huntersville, NC. The events are held monthly on the third Saturday of the month.

We’ll start with Fluffy.

Fluffy lives up to his name. He is super cute and so soft to pet. He loves sitting in laps and getting loved on.
