Do you ever meet people and you just click with them? It’s that instant “ah ha” moment when you realize you have lots in common? I met Devon at a volunteer event and thought she was one cool chick. Later on that afternoon, Devon’s boyfriend Billy at the time stopped by. You could see they just clicked. They had a routine about themselves and you could tell it was their own secret language. I got an email at the beginning of 2010 from Devon saying that Billy had proposed and I could not be more excited for the couple. Not only did I adore them together, they also had an amazing dog named Bailey who stole the show anytime the camera was up. Together, they make a really fun family and an even more fun engagement shoot. I can’t wait until this wedding in August where I promised Devon that this horrible heat wave we are having will be gone. Let’s hope I can pull through.

This couple is incredible and have great style. I mean, just check out those red shoes.
More from Devon and Billy’s session later this week.

One of the things that Dottie and Angela added to their must shoot list was dancing – - and they promised lots of it. And they didn’t disappoint because they started dancing down the aisle after saying I do. It started with a few notes and suddenly, the whole wedding party joined in to Black Eye Peas, I Got A Feelin. It was the best exit to any wedding. After the exit, we headed to the courtyard for some post wedding pictures. This couple was so easy going and I loved the fact they planned time after the wedding and before dinner to get some pictures of the two of them together alone. The reception had lots of energy, we even got Dottie’s mom to dance. I told Cookie I would post only one to show she can rock it. The end of the night was spent on the dance floor until the couple left. I can’t think of one person who attended this wedding that didn’t have fun. Thanks again to Kelli Boling from Red K Photography for shooting and congrats again to Dottie and Angela on a beautiful wedding.

{engagement} A+E totally in love | Freedom Park Charlotte NC
April 23, 2010Some couple are so at ease around each other. He compliments her when she thinks her hair is out of place by saying she is beautiful. She sneaks a kiss in while walking around the lake and takes his hand into hers. My mother-in-law refers to these sort of couples as love birds. These little love birds are so in love that I don’t think they even noticed I was behind the camera for their session at Freedom Park.

See! I told you they are so cute and totally in love. Congrats on your engagement and good luck with wedding planning.

March 30, 2010The spring weather we currently have is perfect for a bridal shoot. Lucky for me, I had a beautiful bride to shoot this past Saturday. Since I promised her that I would keep her face off from the blog in case her future hubs was to look before their wedding, I’ll just show you parts from our shoot. Let’s start with her ring.

More bridal details soon – - now go enjoy the weather.
About a year and a half ago, we put our townhouse on the market. We thought it would get snapped right up, but it didn’t. We got really frustrated and didn’t know what to do. A friend of ours had bought a house from a straight-shooter and thought he would be able to get our place sold. Little did we know that he would not only be our real estate agent who would sell our place, he also our friend. John needed some new head shots and lucky for him, I had a camera.

If you are in the market for a home here in Charlotte, he’s your guy. Hands down the best guy to work with, even behind the camera.

March 12, 2010My brother has always been there for me. At graduations, at my wedding and usually when I call. He loves to introduce me as his witty younger sister. He needed to update his picture for some marketing materials so I asked to help out. I will add I was very lucky to have a funny sister-in-law in the wings that assisted with getting Tomer to smile. Here are a few photos from our session.

March 5, 2010He’s five years older than me. We hated each other when we were younger, but over the years things changed. He became the person I called when I needed advice or just tips on things technology. He’s the voice of reason, he’s the nutty guy that falls asleep watching TV and he’s my brother. Here’s a peek at his headshot.
