They speak their own language and don’t really seem to noticed others around all because they are in love. Here’s a sneak from their engagement session.

Even during busy weeks, dogs still need love. Laker is the baby of our family. He’s four years old, 63 lbs. and the biggest lap dog you’ll ever come across. He has lots of nicknames: Lake, Lay-lay, Buddy, Bad Dog and The Lakester. He always wants to cuddle on the couch and could snore you out of a good nights sleep. He also has puppy dreams all.the.time. He loves to try and kiss/lick the neighborhood cats. And he has his own star to prove his coolness.

Laker’s star on his chest was little when he was a puppy and has stretched over time, but never the less, he’s a star in our family.
The spring weather we currently have is perfect for a bridal shoot. Lucky for me, I had a beautiful bride to shoot this past Saturday. Since I promised her that I would keep her face off from the blog in case her future hubs was to look before their wedding, I’ll just show you parts from our shoot. Let’s start with her ring.

More bridal details soon – - now go enjoy the weather.
About a year and a half ago, we put our townhouse on the market. We thought it would get snapped right up, but it didn’t. We got really frustrated and didn’t know what to do. A friend of ours had bought a house from a straight-shooter and thought he would be able to get our place sold. Little did we know that he would not only be our real estate agent who would sell our place, he also our friend. John needed some new head shots and lucky for him, I had a camera.

If you are in the market for a home here in Charlotte, he’s your guy. Hands down the best guy to work with, even behind the camera.
From the pre-shoot survey, I could tell that this was going to be a super fun shoot. And from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left, two pugs proved me right. Meet Sylvie Grace and Atticus Finch.

From their little paws…

to their funny little faces…

Pugs are always fun to photograph. And don’t get me started on their owners. Look at this super cute little family.

And these pugs love the camera.

This is three year old Sylvie Grace. She’s the first pug that joined the family.

Loves people, really smart and a total princess.

And here’s four year old Atticus Finch. He joined the family from a pug rescue group.

He loves eating, playing with his rope toy and snores like it’s his business.

And the two together equal never a dull moment around this house. They get along like peas and carrots.

They love going on walks together.

They even have a piece of art that matches them. It’s made out of legos by Meagan’s husband Eric. How cool…right?

I had a blast hanging out, getting kisses and laughing at all the snorts.

Have you ever heard a noise that just makes you laugh? This session was filled with snorts and lots of dog kisses.
Here’s a hint to the breed. More to come soon. Oh, and it was double the fun.

Sometimes wrinkles are cute. And on a Monday after a weekend of fun, who doesn’t love these wrinkles?

We recently had a housewarming and Laker, our Boxer, was the hit of the party. He ate ice from the bucket with beers and wine, he sang everyone a song that walked through our door and at the end of the night, he crashed on the couch. Some say wrinkles come from worry, but not for this dog; his come from cuteness.
He’s five years older than me. We hated each other when we were younger, but over the years things changed. He became the person I called when I needed advice or just tips on things technology. He’s the voice of reason, he’s the nutty guy that falls asleep watching TV and he’s my brother. Here’s a peek at his headshot.

It didn’t start off well. He came in the house in his little car seat all bundled from the cold afternoon. As soon as I saw his little face, I had to smile. Funny thing is, he began to cry. I was worried I scared him or upset his day, but it was neither. He bounced right back into his happy mood as soon as he was lifted from his seat. All he wanted was to be held.
Hudson joined our family two months ago. He’s such a handsome little boy full of personality.

Oh, and before I forget. Hudson has his very own guard dog – - Lucy. She made sure that I didn’t harm Hudson. Check out her ears.
